The Challenge
When Popl switched from a D2C to a B2B model three years ago, customer orders became more complex. Bryce Alsten, the VP of Operations, handled the operations and design processes on his own. He couldn’t plan anything for himself because he was constantly flooded with emails. Bryce soon realized that he needed to scale and outsource his workload.
The Solution
To assist with this new challenge, Bryce turned to TalentPop for assistance. TalentPop had already been successfully managing Popl's customer service for some time. When Bryce learned about TalentPop’s new Administrative Growth Assistant service, he seized the opportunity to expand TalentPop’s role into other areas of the business.
Soon, he hired Popl’s first Administrative Growth Assistant who helped with operations. This assistant helped process orders and ensured they flowed properly through the company's channels. The Popl team and new assistant even created a series of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to train new hires as the team prepared for growth.
“He was kind of like my personal assistant,” Bryce says.
Once the SOPs were finalized, TalentPop recruited another assistant to manage the rising volume of tasks. Popl continued to bring on more & more Growth Assistants to handle the increasing workload, and the previously recorded SOPs became an essential training resource for the new hires.

“What’s great about having the system is that it scales up as you add new members and automate more,” Bryce says. “Every time I added a new [TalentPop assistant], I noticed that [the] onboarding process got shorter and shorter because the system became more efficient, structured, and documented.”
